Conflict Management
If a particularly difficult or complex situation is keeping you up at night, draining your energy, or shifting your focus away from your goals then you might want to consider utilising Conflict Coaching.
Conflict Coaching is a one-to-one process that empowers an individual to work through particularly difficult or complex conflict situations. The coach acts as a neutral third party and facilitates conversations in which options for managing the conflict can be considered and strategies devised to move matters forward. It can be a stand-alone process or used to support parties engaged in mediation or litigation.
Conflict Coaching can focus on improving a significant relationship that has been damaged by a conflict, or build skills to assist in constructively resolving a conflict, or be used to formulate strategies to manage organisational change. It is particularly useful when dealing with workplace conflicts, legal proceedings and challenging business negotiations.
Often when we are faced with conflict, the situation can quickly feel out of control. Conflict coaching puts an individual back in the driving seat where they can consider the situation from all perspectives, explore the options open to them, and produce a plan of action to effectively deal with the conflict. The coaching process provides space to develop more clarity about the situation, enabling the individual to confidently make high-quality decisions to manage the conflict and draw the issue to a managed conclusion.
When working with a Conflict Coach, the client sets the goals and the agenda. The coach does not tell the client what to do. They empower the client and support them to take back control of the situation. All conversations are confidential, making it safe to explore the issue in a frank and productive manner.
Conflict Coaching can be as short as one session for more discreet matters or may involve a series of sessions where support is needed for an ongoing situation. Sessions take place either online or over the telephone.
