Our Philosophy

Our pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach ensures change is practical, measurable, and enduring, creating environments where people, teams, and the organisation can thrive together.

Founded in 2016 by Claire-Elaine Arthurs Payne, Orthelian was born from a desire to do things differently. Having worked across multiple industries and supported thousands of professionals, Claire saw organisations investing heavily in generic training and conventional consultancy approaches that often-left people frustrated, disempowered, and without meaningful results. She recognised that lasting impact comes from combining evidence-informed practice, immersive learning, and a deep understanding of human behaviour and organisational dynamics. 

Since then, Orthelian has grown rapidly into a network of experienced consultants, facilitators, mentors, coaches, and trainers whose work remains underpinned by the Orthelian approach, delivering results while maintaining resilience and wellbeing.
